ESCROW & EXCHANGE SERVICES

 Samui Law Firm offers extremely competitive foreign exchange rates (via a dedicated client 'escrow' account) on most currencies around the world if you are wishing to transfer funds from another country for business creation, retirement, marriage, professional services, semi-permanent relocation and/or a property purchase in Thailand.

Providing we have been engaged for any of the aforementioned services then, we can provide excellent rates of exchange compared to a typical bank transfer. Importantly, we also make sure you receive the right paperwork from the Bank of Thailand which allows you to repatriate your funds to the country and account of origin when/if you decide to sell-on your investment!

 

Note: to qualify for this documentation (FT Form), you need to transfer in excess of 50,000 USD (or equivalent in another foreign currency) and transfer the funds to our client 'escrow' account in foreign currency NOT thai baht.

We'll make the process seamless and keep you informed via our Client Management System (CMS). The CMS tracks your payments and exchange rates, providing clear, concise and up to the minute information on each and every transaction (foreign currency, thai baht credit and/or debit) that occurs in our client 'escrow' account.

Examples of actual escrow transactions for our clients below:

 

EXAMPLE 1:

One client transferred 310,000 AUD for a property transaction via our client/escrow account and the exchange rate comparisons offered by THE CLIENT'S bank and OUR client/escrow account was as follows:

The Spot Rate on the day of exchange was:

26.48

Their Australian Bank offered:

25.64

Our Client 'Escrow' Account confirmed:

26.15

As a result, our client received an additional 158,100 THB on the exchange by transacting through our dedicated client account and, these additional funds were more than enough to cover their legal fees for the property transaction!

 

EXAMPLE 2:

Another client transferred 675,000 USD for a property transaction via our client/escrow account and the exchange rate comparisons between THE CLIENT'S bank and OUR client/escrow account was as follows:

The Spot Rate on the day of exchange was:

33.56

Their American Bank offered:

32.83

Our Client 'Escrow' Account confirmed:

33.41

As a result, our client received an additional 391,500 THB on the exchange by transacting through our dedicated client account and, these additional funds were enough to cover their legal fees and most of the transfer fees and taxes for the property transaction!

And, let's not forget, that both of these clients received ALL of the appropriate paperwork (FT Forms) enabling them to repatriate (send back) their funds to the country and account of origin in the event of a sale!
